Product Warranty Terms and Conditions

CASA’s products will be granted warranty under the following terms and conditions:


ELBA
·     All Elba washing machine, dishwasher, electric dryer and washer cum dryer are covered with Two Years (24 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below. 
·     Elba gas dryer is covered with a limited warranty for Repair Service and Spare Parts for One Year (12 months) and Two Years (24 months) respectively from the date of registered purchase, except for “key components” mentioned below. 
·     Any other Elba products (including hobs, built-in ovens and cooker hoods) not listed above (exclude Small Domestic Appliances), is covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below. 
·     All Elba products categorised as Small Domestic Appliances is covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.

EF
·       All EF Cooking Range namely Built-in Hob, Built-in Hood, Built-in Oven, Built-in Microwave Oven and Free-Standing Cooker are covered with Two Years (24 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.
·       Any other EF products not listed above (exclude Small Domestic Appliances), is covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.
·       All EF products categorised as Small Domestic Appliances is covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.

CHATEAU
·       All Chateau wine coolers are covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.

BEKO
·       All Beko products (exclude Small Domestic Appliances & Fridges) are covered with a limited warranty on Repair Service and Spare Parts for Two Years (24 months) and Three Years (36 months) respectively from the date of registered purchase, except for “key components” mentioned below.
·       All Beko products categorised as Small Domestic Appliances is covered with Two Years (24 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.

·       All Beko Fridges are covered with a limited warranty on Repair Service and Spare Parts for Two Years (24 months) from the date of registered purchase, except for “key components” mentioned below.

FERROLI and RUBINE
·       All Ferroli and Rubine Water Heaters and Ceiling Fans are covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the date of registered purchase for Repair Service and Spare Parts except for “key components” mentioned below.

 

WESTINGHOUSE

  • All Westinghouse cookware, kitchenware or other non-electrical items are guaranteed by Casa against any material or manufacturing defect, for limited warranty from the received date for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts limited warranty from the received date for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts.
  • All Westinghouse small appliances are covered by Casa with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the received date for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts
  • 1-day warranty against manufacturing defects and aesthetic/cosmetic imperfections from the date of purchase

Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
1.    Normal product wear and tear
2.    Unauthorised alternation, modifications or repair on the products and/or if the products are tampered with in any manner whatsoever.
3.    Maintenance or replacement of consumable parts (e.g. handles)
4.    Damaged from improper cleaning, care and maintenance (e.g. scratches, discolouration or stains on the inside or outside)
5.    Damaged from overheating, prolonged exposure to the heat when empty
6.    Damaged caused by accidents (e.g fire, flood etc.)
7.    Damaged from professional use or in the workplace
8.    Damaged from mishandling of products (e.g. knocked, dropped etc.)
9.    Damaged from thermal shocks
10.    Damaged on any glass or porcelain ware in the product (e.g. lids)
11.    Damaged from misuse, negligence, failure to follow instructions
12.    Damaged from natural causes (e.g. earthquakes, typhoons, etc.)
13.    Damaged to the hob, stovetop by using our products

 

KITH

  • All KITH products are covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the received date for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts
  • 1-day warranty against manufacturing defects and aesthetic/cosmetic imperfections from the date of purchase
  • Warranty will not cover defects or damages resulting from;
  1. Normal product wear and tear
  2. Unauthorised alternation, modifications or repair on the products and/or if the products are tampered with in any manner whatsoever.
  3. Damaged from improper cleaning, care and maintenance (e.g. scratches, discolouration or stains on the inside or outside)
  4. Damaged from overheating, prolonged exposure to the heat when empty
  5. Damaged caused by accidents (e.g fire, flood etc.)
  6. Damaged from professional use or in the workplace
  7. Damaged from mishandling of products (e.g. knocked, dropped etc.)

KIN

  • All KIN products are covered with One Year (12 months) limited warranty from the received date for Repair Service (only carry-in service) and Spare Parts
  • 1-day warranty against manufacturing defects and aesthetic/cosmetic imperfections from the date of purchase
  • Warranty will not cover defects or damages resulting from;
  1. Normal product wear and tear
  2. Unauthorised alternation, modifications or repair on the products and/or if the products are tampered with in any manner whatsoever.
  3. Damaged from improper cleaning, care and maintenance (e.g. scratches, discolouration or stains on the inside or outside)

Spare Parts” covered under limited warranty refer specifically only to mechanical and electrical internal components.
Repair Service” specifically refers to only rectification of mechanical and electrical faults so that product could be functional.
Key components” refer to

a. Compressor for refrigerator, wine cooler and freezer [5 years warranty]
b. Main motor for washing machine [10 years warranty]
c. Glass top for Gas hob Only [Life time warranty subject to one time claim only].
d. Wear and tear parts or accessories like pan supports, burner, burner caps, burner ring, control knobs, charcoal filter, filter, Door Gasket, etc. which are not covered under any warranty.
e. Defective door gasket will be replaced free of charge only if the defect is reported within a period of six (6) months from the date of registered purchase.

ELBA Gas Dryer
a. Main motor for Gas Dryer [5 years warranty]
b. Wear and tear parts or accessories like control knobs, filter and etc. are not covered under any warranty.
c. Defective door gasket will be replaced free of charge only if the defect is reported within a period of six (6) months from the date of registered purchase.

CHATEAU
a. Compressor for wine cooler [5 years warranty].
b. Wear and tear parts or accessories.

BEKO
a. Compressor for refrigerator, freezer and air-con [5 years or 12 years warranty] *
b. The main motor for washing machine, clothes dryer, washer dryer and dishwasher [5 years or 12 years warranty] *
c. Defective door gasket will be replaced free of charge only if the defect is reported within a period of six (6) months from the date of registered purchase.

WHEN REQUESTING FOR SERVICE, PLEASE SPECIFY THE FOLLOWING REGISTERED INFORMATION:

OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY:
Please note that the owner will have to pay for attendance pertaining to any of the under-mentioned situations although the set is under warranty: -
1. POWER - No power because power plug is not pushed in or power is not switched on or no power at points (checked by using another appliance)
2. USER’S CONTROL - Not set according to Owner’s Instruction Manual.
3. PROOF OF PURCHASE - User is unable to produce documentary proof of purchase when requested by the service technician.
4. INCONSISTENT WATER TEMPERATURE OF WATER HEATER - Water temperature variation does not indicate the heater is faulty but instead the inconsistent inlet water pressure is the cause for the inconsistent water temperature.
5. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE - Rubine ceiling fan suspension system has to be examined at regular intervals (at least once every 2 years) in ensuring it is in good working order.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY:
1.          The warranty period for the appliance is for period as specified respectively above in respect of “Repair Service” and “Spare parts” from the date of registered purchase and CASA undertakes the following: - 
            1.1.        Repair will be provided free of charge for the period specified above from the date of registered purchase. Besides small domestic appliances which scope of repair is restricted to only carry-in service, remote controllers of all products are also restricted to carry-in service.
            1.2.        The decision by Casa on all repairs, replacements or questions relating to defects of either workmanship or of materials shall be conclusive and the purchaser shall agree to be bound by such decision. 
            1.3.        Defective parts will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the warranty period from the date of registered purchase with the following exceptions: 

1.3.1.     Defective compressor for refrigerator, wine cooler and freezer will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the warranty period specified for “Key Components” from the date of registered purchase However, labour charges and cost of gas refill, if applicable, shall be borne by the purchaser, if the defect is reported after the expiration of the warranty period for “Repair Service”, as stated above. 

1.3.2.     Lamps of all appliances will be replaced free of charge if reported as faulty within three (3) months from the date of registered purchase. 

1.3.3.     Defective Heating Element will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the warranty period specified for “Key Components” from the date of registered purchase. 

1.3.4.     Defective Heat Exchanger will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the warranty period specified for “Key Components” from the date of registered purchase. 

1.3.5.     Storage water heater with leaking internal tank will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the warranty period specified for “Key Components” from the date of registered purchase.   

Provided always that “Repair Service”, installation and transport charges shall be borne by the purchaser if parts or products to be replaced under this warranty are carried out after the specified period of “Repair Service” warranty from the date of registered purchase. CASA shall retain all defective parts or products replaced.
 

2.               Casa shall not be responsible or liable for any of the following: -

2.1.          Damage or malfunction caused by the act or acts of any person or persons either intentional or otherwise, including but not limited to misuse or mishandling, fire or any act of God. 

2.2.          Regular maintenance including but not limited to washing or cleaning the appliance. 

2.3.          Home servicing of small or portable appliance. Servicing of this category of the appliance will be provided on a “carry-in” basis at CASA Service Centre during operating hours. 

2.4.          Defects or faults in appliances which have been used for commercial purposes or which have been rented/leased or which have been otherwise subject to uses other than for household use. 

2.5.          Damages, dents, scratches or missing parts that are reported after delivery is fulfilled and goods accepted. 

2.6.          Damage to accessories such as flexible hose, shower heads, control knobs, inlet/outlets hoses, charcoal/fibre filters, grease filter, burner, burner ring, caps/supports, cast iron grids, glass screens/covers, knobs, doors, doors handle, plastic panels, electrical sockets, plugs and cables, remote control units, antennas, lid or battery covers and casing, and/or other detachable and consumable parts. 

2.7.          Damage or malfunction caused by improper or incorrect installation, poor or inadequate maintenance, or use or operation of the appliance otherwise than in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions, for example, subjecting the appliance to an excessive electrical voltage or overloading the appliance, or removal of adjustable leg in the case of washing machine / washer cum dryer machine. 

2.8.          Parts and finishes which are subject to normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust, stains, colour deterioration, scratches, dents or cracks on the body, power points, power plugs, batteries and casing enamel paintwork, 

2.9.          Any damage howsoever, caused to property including but not limited to other products/equipment, cabinets, shelves, trays, floorings, walls, ceilings,  clothing, garments, baking ingredient, foods, wine, medicine, etc. in connection with the use and misuse of the appliance, or any malfunction or defect in the appliance. 

2.10.       Damage to the appliance or parts caused by excessive incoming water pressure. 

2.11.       The cost of providing access to the appliance by whatever means necessary for the purpose of carrying out repairs or servicing in the event that the location or position at which such appliance is installed is such that there is no reasonable access to the appliance for such repairs or servicing to be carried out. 

2.12.       Any damage to property caused in the process of carrying out repair or servicing of appliances that are installed in positions or locations that make it difficult or unreasonable for such damage to be avoided. 

2.13.       Damages for loss of use or any consequential loss due to any malfunction, defect, damage or breakdown of the appliance. 

2.14.       Damages caused to property including but not limited to cabinets, shelves, trays, floorings, walls, ceilings during transit where the appliance is transported for the purpose of servicing or repair, or in relation thereto or in connection therewith. 

2.15.       Accepting warranty for products which could not be proven that the appliance is legitimately still under warranty. 

2.16.       Accepting warranty for products which serial number has been removed, defaced or altered. 

2.17.       Damages caused by household pests such as lizard, rat, cockroach, etc. 

2.18.       Repairing ceiling fan installed 10 feet above ground. 

2.19.       Repairing appliances which are installed in such a manner that defective components could not be accessed. 

2.20.       Providing maintenance such as cleaning, reconditioning and lubricating the appliances.


3.             It is hereby expressly provided that any liability of Casa for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from the purchase of the appliance shall not exceed the purchase price (excluding installation costs and accessories) of the appliance or recommended retail price whichever is the lower. Similarly, Casa’s liability for any breach of this warranty shall be limited to the purchase price (excluding installation costs and accessories) of the appliance.

4.       This warranty is valid only for products used within the mainland of the Republic of Singapore.

5.           This warranty shall not apply in respect of any appliance which has been tampered with, or which has undergone repair, adjustment, modifications, alterations or servicing by persons other than those authorized by Casa to do so.
